PACKER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PMS)

WHAT IS THE PMS?

The PMS System has been developed to provide constant monitoring of slip joint packers on Semi Subs and Overshot Packers on Jack-up Drilling Rigs to prevent leaks of drilling fluids into the environment.
The system is designed to automatically energise the back up packer system when the primary packer fails or begins to leak.

• Automatically inflates bottom packer when top packer loses 3 PSI (or any other set point)
• Automatically increases set point when regulator pressure is increased
• Will not decrease set point when regulator pressure is decrease unless manually overridden
• Fully automated in case of power failure
• Easy to read facia with interchangeable language instructions
• Visual Pneumatic Status
• Visual Electrical Status
• Solenoids can be isolated for maintenance
• Automatic top packer valve position display
• Automatic bottom packer valve position display
• Can be adapted to operate hydraulic bottom packer
• Pressure relief vent on system incase of internal failure
