Romar international swarf handling Significant volumes of swarf waste can be generated during slot recovery operations on platforms where there is a requirement to mill casing to get to a point where the rig can drill a side-track to a new production zone. Large volumes of swarf waste can also be produced during casing milling activities associated with asset recovery and decommissioning in the well plug and abandonment phase towards the end of effective field life. The need to have a reliable and efficient means of disposing of this at surface, without the need for unnecessary mechanical or human intervention, is a critical pre-requisite from most Operators and Drilling Contractors.
The ROMAR MAGNOVEYOR SS2000 system is used for processing significant volumes of swarf generated by any of the activities identified above. The system has 3 pieces of unique technology incorporated into the unit i.e.
