Meet ROMAR’s Technical Support, Mark Simmers.

One of our longest-standing team members, Mark, has played an integral role in ROMAR’s journey for just shy of ten years. Joining us in 2012 as a Workshop Operative, Mark is now our trusty Technical Support, responsible for surveying SWARF equipment while supporting both the workshop and operations team to move a project from A to B.

Mark’s role sees him travelling overseas to ensure we have the correct data and materials to install our SS1000 SWARF handling systems. Liaising between our offshore team and clients, Mark verifies that any SWARF specific work is handled efficiently.

When reflecting on his role, Mark said: “Over the ten years I’ve spent with ROMAR, I’ve been given some incredible opportunities. The training and development I’ve undergone since joining ROMAR have been fantastic. Before starting my first role with the organisation, I had no offshore experience; now, I have the chance to travel all over the world through work. Travelling and experiencing new countries, cultures and people is undoubtedly the highlight of my role. I can’t wait to see what’s next for ROMAR and hope to continue supporting the business for many more years to come.”
