Meet Pat, Operations Manager at ROMAR International. Pat and his team are responsible for the mobilisation of all personnel and equipment, ensuring our clients receive a robust service from their initial request right through to delivery. While Pat predominantly works from our office base in Aberdeenshire, his support is welcomed around the world from our global pool of customers.

“I have played a part in the tightknit team at ROMAR for just shy of six years, and it’s truly a fantastic place to work. As Operations Manager, I ensure both our personnel and equipment arrives overseas safely and seamlessly. Working to our client’s specifications, I track and forecast our resources and work closely with operators to ensure an impeccable service from start to finish.

“You could say my appointment at ROMAR was fate. I, like many others, had found myself back in Aberdeen following a short time in Dubai after the oil downturn in 2015. I was wandering along the beach one afternoon when I bumped into a familiar face: Rob, the previous CEO of ROMAR. Rob and I had worked together in central Asia many years ago. By chance, it turns out ROMAR’s previous Operations Manager had stood down that day, and I just so happened to be looking for a job, and as they say, the rest is history.

“I thoroughly enjoy working with people and what a bunch we have here at ROMAR. My position has led me to lead and develop a small team within the organisation, and it’s undoubtedly a highlight of my role. ROMAR seems to have perfected the balance between work and play – we work hard but also enjoy the odd pizza party or barbeque in the workshop from time to time.
